Garima Naredi

Visual Artist & Author

Garima Naredi is a multidisciplinary artist working in oil, charcoal, and the written word. Through realism and storytelling, she explores themes of transformation, interconnectedness, and our relationship with the natural world.

As an introspective child, Garima was drawn to art and writing as a way of making sense of her inner world. Today, her studio practice spans fine art, storytelling, and education, driven by a lifelong curiosity about life and a commitment to giving back.

Her work brings together Indian spiritual philosophy, Western representational painting, and a deep love for figurative art. The female figure holds a central place in her practice, embodying intuition, resilience, and the many dimensions of the feminine. Plants, animals, and birds recur throughout her work as symbolic forms, exploring the interconnectedness of all life.

Writing is an integral part of Garima's creative process. Poems, reflections, and narrative prose often develop alongside her artwork and have also led to the creation of a spiritual coming-of-age graphic novel. She is deeply committed to art education, teaching drawing and painting at Pratt Fine Arts Center and partnering with Path with Art to support individuals navigating trauma and recovery through creative expression.
