Garima is a multidisciplinary artist working in oil, charcoal, and the written word. Through realism and storytelling, she explores themes of transformation and our connection to the natural world.

As an introspective child, she was drawn to art and writing as a way of making sense of her inner world. Garima’s studio practice that spans fine art, storytelling, and education.

Garima’s work weaves together Indian spiritual philosophy, Western representational painting, and a deep love for figurative art. The female figure holds a central place in her practice, embodying intuition, beauty, and warrior-like strength.

Poems, reflections, and narrative prose often emerge alongside Garima’s artwork, even led to the creation of a graphic novel. Garima is deeply committed to art education, teaching drawing and painting at Pratt Fine Arts Center and partnering with Path with Art to support individuals navigating trauma and recovery through creative expression.
